Media Center by a Filipino Start-Up

A Filipino start-up company called Inovent aims to do to online media centers what Asus has done with UMPCs.

A TV set that plays music, videos and surfs the internet was unveiled last Sunday, November 30 2008 at Bonifacio High Street in Taguig City. The online media center dubbed as “Ilumina,” features an Ubuntu operating system and a celeron processor. It was developed by a group of engineers from UP, Ateneo and La Salle.

Though the the media box is yet to be priced, we hope that it will be sold at a very affordable price.
